What is supplement? Just extra protein or something else? Short answer :

Basically, supplements mean a thing added to something else to complete or enhance it. That means if we can’t complete a process naturally, we add an external agent to complete it. That agent is said to be a supplement.

Most of the time, we use this term in our bodybuilding lives considering our extra source of protein as a supplement. But, as we have read above supplement is not only about protein or bodybuilding. It is basically adding a thing to something to complete or increase it.

In bodybuilding too, when we add something to our diet in order to increase our nutrition intake. We call the the products as supplements which adds up some extra nutrition to our diet.

There are different kinda of supplements used in our daily life. PROTEIN, CREATINE, CAFFEINE are the common examples of it.

So next time when someone ask you what is supplement? Don’t get confused with protein or gym things.
